July 2021 Central Java Experiences 0.06 percent Inflation

Abstract

In July 2021, Central Java experienced inflation of 0.06 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.11. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, five cities experienced inflation and one city experienced deflation.
The main cause of inflation in Central Java in July 2021 is the increase in prices for cayenne pepper, shallots, elementary schools, filtered kretek cigarettes, and tomatoes. The main driver of inflation in Central Java is the decline in the price of purebred chicken meat, broiler eggs, rice, gold jewelry, and air transportation.
The inflation rate for the calendar year July 2021 is 0.57 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (July 2021 to July 2020) is 1.40 percent.
