Abstract

• The rice harvested area in 2020 is estimated at 1,684.75 thousand hectares, an increase of 6.27 thousand hectares or
0.37 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 1,678.48 thousand
acres.
• Rice production in 2020 is estimated at 9.59 million tonnes GKG, decreased by 68.74 thousand tons or 0.71 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 9.66 million tons MPD.
• If the potential for rice production in 2020 is converted into rice for population food consumption, rice production at 2020 is estimated at 5.48 million tonnes, experiencing a decrease as much as 39.33 thousand tons or 0.71 percent compared to 2019
