Abstract

May 2019 in Jawa Tengah there was deflation of 0.60 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 134.36. Inflation in Jawa Tengah occurred in all (six) cities of SBH.
The calendar year inflation rate (May 2019 to December 2018) is 1.04 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate is 2.62 percent.
The main cause of Jawa Tengah inflation in June 2019 was the increase in prices of red chili, intercity transportation, shallots, coconuts and petai. The restraint of the inflation rate was the decline in the price of garlic, chicken eggs, rice, young jackfruit and tilapia.
