Abstract

• April 2019 in Jawa Tengah there was deflation of 0.45 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 133.92. Inflation in Jawa Tengah occurred in all (six) cities of SBH.
• The calendar year inflation rate (April 2019 to December 2018) is 0.71 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate is 2.27 percent.
• The main cause of inflation in Jawa Tengah in April 2019 is the increase in prices of shallots, garlic, broiler eggs, air freight, and apples. The restraint of inflation is the decline in rice prices, electricity tariffs, bananas, cayenne pepper and oranges
