Abstract

Central Java inflation rate for March 2008 is still quite high at 1.14 percent. But slightly lower when compared to February 2008, which amounted to 1.17 percent. Relatively high inflation triggered by the increase in commodity prices is illustrated by changes in the consumer price index (CPI). The increase in price is quite high occurred in the health group at 1.87 percent, foodstuffs by 1.82 percent, and housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 1.59 percent.
