Abstract

GRDP growth in the fourth quarter of Central Java in 2007 decreased 1.4 percent compared to the third quarter in 2007 (q-to-q), and when compared with the fourth quarter in 2006 (y-on-y) grew by 5.5 percent. Cumulatively, the economic growth in Central Java in 2007 increased by 5.6 percent compared to the previous year. This is supported by all sectors of the economy that are experiencing positive growth, with the highest growth in the transport and communications sector 8.1 percent and lowest in the agricultural sector 2.7 percent.
