Institute of Statistics (STIS) Information

Institute of Statistics (STIS) which was originally named the Academy of Statistics Sciences (AIS) is the college official D-IV program, managed by Statistics Indonesia (BPS) since 1958. STIS, the institution of higher education official who works to develop and disseminating knowledge, particularly statistics field and statistical computing with the ability to educate academic/professional. Thus graduates have must able to plan and carry out research, perform analysis in the field of socio-economic as well as planning and developing information systems.
The curriculum made in accordance with the development of economic, demographic, social, and information technology. Process and learning methods focused on skills development of statistics and statistical computing. STIS has two courses: Studies Program Statistics - with two areas of specialization, namely the Economic and Social Demography - Statistics and Computing Studies Program. Statistics Study program generates economic statisticians and experts socio-demographic statistics, and Computational Studies Program Statistics produce experts computing and information systems.
